Eligibility

To participate in Cochise Cats,s tudents must either be in high school and plan on attending Cochise College and the University of Arizona South, or be current Cochise College students planning on transferring to UA South.

Participation in Cochise Cats will consist of two phases:

  • Prospective Cochise Cats:

These are students who are still in high school but are interested in the four year degree plan from Cochise College to UA South. These students will begin receiving general information on transfer pathways from receiving an associate degree at Cochise College to completing a bachelor degree at UA South.

Prospective Cochise Cats will receive the following program services:
• Information emails
• Event invitations
• Joint advising
• Career Planning
• Financial Aid advising

  • Official Cochise Cats:

Upon receiving advising from both UASouth and Cochise College advisors, students can apply to be a part of the Cochise Cats cohort.

Once accepted into the Cochise Cats program, you must remain continuously enrolled in either Cochise College or UA South. If at any time you do not register for classes in either institution for two or more consecutive semesters, you will be disqualified from participation in Cochise Cats. You will have to reapply for acceptance to the program upon reenrollment at Cochise College or UA South.

Please note: There is no minimum grade point average for acceptance into the Cochise Cats program. However, participation in the program does not guarantee admission to Cochise College or UA South.
